Samsung just recently released the Samsung Gear S3 (both the new “Frontier” and the return of the “Classic”) at IFA 2016. While the event was a success (video below this paragraph) one of the many questions that people wanted answers to was, did the smartwatch have iOS/iPhone compatibility? And after the recent Gear S2 testing results, there is great news from SamMobile that the Samsung Gear S3 (and S2) will support the Apple iPhone (no word yet on which versions of iOS are supported) and it’s safe to say that iOS 9 has the highest probability of support, since iOS 10 isn’t released for public usage.

The Gear Manager for iOS is open for beta testing, as you’ll see in the video below, it works well for the Samsung Gear S2 with the iPhone. It’s expected that once it becomes available for public use, both the Gear S2 & Samsung Gear S3 will work with the iPhone. That support was rumored to be approved at the IFA event, so we will just have to wait and see when it gets released.
If you are interested in purchasing the Samsung Gear S3 you’ll have to wait until the end of the year for more details such as pricing and availability.
