For homeowners looking for Solar Roof information, the immediate change is the destination: the address now leads to Solar Panels. Tesla‘s separate ordering guide describes buying panels and Powerwall batteries. It does not set out a new ordering process for Solar Roof tiles.
What Tesla’s current ordering guide says
According to Tesla’s solar-panel ordering guide, customers enter their home address and average electricity bill to see system recommendations. They then select Solar Panels to continue. Tesla says only one electric bill is required when entering that average.
However, access depends on the address. Where Tesla does not serve an area directly, customers may be able to order panels through Tesla Certified Installers. For addresses outside its territory, Tesla says customers can reserve solar and Powerwall and receive notice when its energy products become available locally.
The guide also describes a deposit toward the order. Tesla says it remains refundable until the customer accepts the solar-system design. Although the final price includes installation costs, any required main electrical-panel upgrade costs extra.
What remains unspecified for Solar Roof
The redirect alone supplies no explanation for the change. Tesla’s panel-ordering instructions do not announce a Solar Roof sales cutoff, a market-by-market withdrawal schedule or a new tile price.
