The Steam Autumn Sale is live now on Steam, and Valve’s announcement sets the end for October 8 at 10 a.m. Pacific.
The discounts reach beyond the back catalog this year. For example, two major 2026 releases drop to $48.99, while a shelf of older favorites falls under four dollars.
The headline deals
Resident Evil Requiem takes 30 percent off its $69.99 list price, landing at $48.99. Capcom released the survival horror sequel on February 26, so the cut arrives about seven months after launch. The franchise also returned to theaters last month, and Tech My Money covered the new Resident Evil film when it opened.
007 First Light gets the same cut, from $69.99 to $48.99. IO Interactive’s action-adventure follows a young James Bond as an MI6 recruit, and it only launched on May 26. As a result, it is the newer of the sale’s two headline games.
The mid-range cuts
Metaphor: ReFantazio drops 60 percent, from $69.99 to $27.99. In addition, Bungie’s Marathon falls 40 percent to $23.99, down from $39.99, seven months after its March release.
Newer indies join the list too. ReStory: Chill Electronics Repairs, a repair-shop game set in mid-2000s Tokyo, costs $15.99 after a 20 percent cut. Similarly, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire lands at $22.49 with 25 percent off.
The four-dollar shelf
The steepest cuts hit older favorites, and every one of them takes 90 percent off. For example, Death’s Door falls from $19.99 to $1.99, while The Talos Principle 2 costs $2.99. Ori and the Will of the Wisps also drops to $2.99. Meanwhile, Monster Hunter Rise and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition both land at $3.99, down from $39.99.
All week long you’ll find sales on games of every size and genre: from big franchises and giant adventures, to cozy shops, deckbuilders, and story-rich titles.
Valve, Steam Autumn Sale announcement
Prices are as listed on Steam’s US store on October 2. All discounts expire on October 8 at 10 a.m. Pacific, which is 1 p.m. Eastern. Valve also says shoppers can earn stickers by going through their Discovery Queue during the event.
Valve says the deals run all week, so the prices listed here should hold until the sale ends. However, the announcement does not mention any hardware discounts. Readers tracking the company’s devices can revisit Tech My Money’s coverage of Valve’s Steam Machine pricing from June.
