The 8BitDo Arcade Controller Pro is open for pre-order. The all-button fighting-game pad skips the joystick entirely, and 8BitDo’s eShop lists it at $119.99 USD with shipping starting November 30, 2026.
The Arcade Controller Pro follows 8BitDo’s original Arcade Controller, and its changes point squarely at competitive players. 8BitDo says the new pad uses smaller buttons and tighter spacing, so every input stays within natural reach. It also adds a fifth programmable button, and P1 through P5 can be mapped straight on the controller.
8BitDo’s product page is blunt about who this pad is for: “Built for serious fighters. Full control for every match.”
A screen built into the pad
A 1.47-inch display sits on the pad itself. 8BitDo says it runs Ultimate Software on the controller, so players can view inputs, check battery status and adjust essential settings at the pad. The same screen handles RGB lighting changes. 8BitDo also points to Ultimate Software V2 for button mapping, macros and different SOCD modes.
Wrist rest and swappable switches
Comfort and repairability are part of the design. A magnetic wrist rest attaches when a player needs it and comes off easily for a more compact setup. Inside that rest, 8BitDo stores five lock caps. A lock cap replaces any P1 to P5 button cap to prevent accidental presses.
A release button on the back lifts the tempered glass faceplate. Underneath, the switch board is hot-swappable. It ships with 8BitDo Core Green low-profile linear switches, which the company co-developed with Kailh, and three spare switches plus a puller live inside the case.
Battery, platforms and editions
Power comes from a 3,000mAh battery. 8BitDo rates it at 15 hours of wireless use with the RGB lighting off, and a full recharge takes four hours. Its connectivity specs assign each method to a platform: 2.4GHz wireless for Windows, Bluetooth for Switch, and wired play for both. Compatibility covers Windows 10 (1903) and newer, Switch with system 3.0.0 or later, and Switch 2 with 20.1.1 or later.
Two editions are listed for pre-order on the eShop: the N Edition and the White Edition, both at $119.99 USD. The product page also points to a US Amazon pre-order. Two USB-C ports and a cable lock keep a wired connection seated during fast inputs, and the pad measures 301 by 201 by 16 mm at 1,090 g.
What readers can do now
Pre-orders are open now on 8BitDo’s eShop and through its US Amazon listing. The eShop product title reads “Ships on Nov 30. 2026,” so treat November 30 as the start of shipping rather than a confirmed delivery date for every order. 8BitDo adds that it is the presenting sponsor of Street Fighter League Americas and Street Fighter League EMEAA 2026.
