Google has set its next Pixel 11 launch event for Wednesday, August 12, 2026. The keynote kicks off at 6 p.m. ET in New York City, breaking with the company’s usual midday @madebygoogle reveal schedule.

Google’s press invitation doubles as its first official peek at the gold-tinted Pixel 11 Pro render. Outlets including Engadget, 9to5Google, and Android Central all received the same invite this week. The invite teases “the next generation of Pixel” without naming devices.

Specifically, the embedded animation shows a gold metal frame and a pill-shaped camera bar. The Verge saw the email first and shared the screenshot. In addition, leaked renders circulated earlier in the year already pointed to the same design.

What Google is expected to announce

Based on the invitation language and recent reporting, the August 12 lineup should include four phones. First, expect the Pixel 11 and the Pixel 11 Pro. Next, look for a 6.8-inch Pixel 11 Pro XL and a refreshed Pixel 11 Pro Fold.

A new Pixel Watch 5 is also expected in two sizes. In addition, the next generation of Pixel Buds should round out the on-stage hardware. Google’s Tensor G6 chip is expected to anchor the phone launches, reportedly built on a TSMC 2nm process. As a result, reviewers who criticized the Tensor G5 for trailing flagship silicon are watching the G6 launch closely.

9to5Google reports higher prices ahead for every Pixel 11 model. Specifically, all models now start at 256GB. European pricing reportedly climbs by roughly 100 euros versus the Pixel 10 family. Both Engadget and Ars Technica trace the bump to the broader memory chip shortage.

However, U.S. pricing, on-sale dates, and carrier bundle details are still to come at the event. Why an evening launch matters

Made by Google events have historically kicked off around 1 p.m. ET. Moving the start to 6 p.m. keeps East Coast viewers in prime time. As a result, West Coast viewers tune in at 3 p.m. PT, and European audiences watch late into the evening.

Last year’s Made by Google event leaned late-night. Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Curry, and the Jonas Brothers took the stage in Brooklyn, per Android Authority. Google has not hinted at any celebrity tie-ins for this year’s show.
