LG is gearing up for the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas with some impressive monitor lineup. The company announced that they’ll be introducing three classes of products at next year’s CES event. The first class of product (UC98 and UC88 models both feature curved screens, while the UM88 will not) for LG’s 21:9 UltraWide line of monitors will sport 3440- x 1440-pixel screens and ThunderBolt 2 connectors.
The second line of LG monitors are the UD88 and UD68 series, these are 4K monitors that come with USB-C connections. LG said that the USB-C connection on these monitors represents “next generation of computer connectivity, the monitor allows users to charge a laptop as fast as with a dedicated power cord and simultaneously transfer data at USB 3.0 speeds.” This means that a single cable will give users the ability to connect their laptops to an external monitor while also using the monitor as a power source, eliminating the need for more cables. Finally, LG plans to introduce the Gram at CES. The Gram is a 15.6-inch laptop running Windows 10 on a 6th Gen Intel chipset and weighs just slightly over 2 pounds.
