Motorola Razr Fold is the headline addition to Motorola’s 2026 Razr family, but this is bigger than one phone. Motorola is turning Razr into a full foldable lineup, with a book-style Fold at the top and three flip phones sitting below it.

The company’s new range now stretches from the $799.99 standard Razr to the $1,899.99 Razr Fold. That gives Motorola a cleaner answer to Samsung’s foldable spread: one big-screen foldable for productivity, plus several clamshell options for people who still want the pocketable Razr personality.

Razr Fold Is the New Big-Screen Play

The Motorola Razr Fold has an 8.1-inch inner display and a 6.56-inch outer display. It also includes a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage and a 6000mAh battery. Motorola says the phone supports 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Moto Pen Ultra support is part of the pitch too, although the stylus is sold separately for $99.99. That detail matters because the Fold is clearly meant to be more than a big screen for videos. Motorola is aiming at notes, split-screen work and the kind of phone-tablet workflow people expect from a book-style foldable.

Razr Ultra Is the Premium Flip

The Razr Ultra remains the flashy flip phone in the family. Motorola says it uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and a 5000mAh battery, which makes it the performance-focused clamshell. At $1,499.99, it is not trying to be the affordable Razr. It is the one for buyers who want the best flip phone Motorola makes.

This is also where Motorola’s fashion angle still feels strongest. The company has been leaning into colors, textures and Pantone-backed finishes for years, and the Ultra keeps that personality while pushing the hardware higher.

Razr+ and Razr Fill Out the Middle

The Razr+ comes in at $1,099.99 with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip and a 4500mAh battery. It is the middle child for people who want a more premium flip phone but do not want to jump all the way to Ultra pricing.

The standard Razr is the entry point at $799.99. It uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7450X chip and has a 4800mAh battery. That price makes it the most approachable model in the new lineup, especially for buyers who like the folding form factor but do not need the top processor or the most expensive finish.

The Lineup Is the Real Story

Preorders for the unlocked Razr Fold, Razr Ultra, Razr+ and Razr start May 14, 2026 through Motorola.com and Best Buy, with open sales beginning May 21. Motorola’s press release also points to carrier availability for select models.

The important shift is that Razr is no longer just Motorola’s nostalgic flip-phone brand. It is becoming the company’s whole foldable identity. The Fold gives Motorola a Galaxy Z Fold rival, while the three flip models let buyers choose how much power, polish and price they want.

That makes this one of Motorola’s more interesting launches in a while. The specs are important, but the lineup strategy may matter more. If the software and durability hold up, Motorola finally has a foldable family that looks ready for shoppers who want options instead of one showpiece.
