HP has announced two new business oriented tablets – the HP Pro Slate 8 and the HP Pro Slate 12. Both of these business tablets comes with a 4:3 display aspect ratio and are powered by a decent 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. Both tablets measure around 8.0mm in thickness, have dual front facing speakers and an innovative “Duet Pen“.
The Duet Pen allows users the remarkable ability to write on the tablet screen and on any type of paper or writing surface. HP utilises Qualcomm’s technology on both of these tablets. A total of four microphones on that can even hear ultra-high sounds emitted from the Duet Pen. HP is the first company to take advantage of this technology from Qualcomm.
The HP Pro Slate 12 features a massive 12.3-inch 1600 x 1200 pixels display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and has a pixel density of 163ppi. The HP Pro Slate 8 on the other hand features a 7.9-inch 2048 x 1536 pixels display and protected by Gorilla Glass 4. The tablet has a pixel density of 326ppi.
Both HP Pro Slate business tablets are available now on the company’s online store; the Pro Slate 8 is priced at $449 and the Pro Slate 12 is priced at $569.
