Skype Brings Back People Hub Integration In New Windows Phone 8 Update, and HD Video

Skype released an update today that puts the People Hub back on your Windows Phone 8 device. It allows the integration of your Skype contacts with your address book, giving you easy access to start conversations. Skype stated in a blog post that “In this release, we focused on increasing quality & reliability while also adding new capabilities based on customer feedback.” Also HD video capabilities have been added to the Skype update for select higher-end devices “Nokia Lumia 920, HTC 8X and Samsung Ativ S” The new Skype intelligently selects the best quality for calls based on the speed of your connection.

Additionally, we’ve added landscape mode for calls, and the ability to switch between front and back cameras for you to chat in the most comfortable way possible.
