Google Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL are official. Google is concentrating its upgrades on visibility, camera reach, and a rear notification light. Google’s product page lists a brighter Super Actua display, 120x Pro Zoom, and HiLight. HiLight is designed for use when the phone is face down.
The two Pro phones keep the familiar size split. The smaller Pixel 11 Pro has a 6.3-inch display. Meanwhile, the Pixel 11 Pro XL moves to 6.8 inches. Google rates both Super Actua panels at up to 3,600 nits of peak brightness. It also says the display is 9% brighter than before. Google describes its coating as more than twice as scratch resistant. Peak brightness differs from sustained full-screen brightness. Therefore, real outdoor testing will still matter.
Google Pixel 11 Pro gets a longer zoom claim
Google raises its computational camera ceiling from 100x to 120x Pro Zoom. The phone still uses a 5x telephoto camera. Thus, the farthest settings rely on image processing, not 120x optical magnification. That distinction matters. The useful test is whether fine detail looks credible at long range. The zoom slider’s maximum alone does not answer that question.
Google ties that camera processing to Tensor G6. It says the chip brings 50% more TPU compute. It also claims up to 20% better CPU power efficiency. Those are Google claims, not independent benchmarks. As a result, a hands-on review must settle battery life, heat, and difficult-light image quality.
HiLight is meant to work when the screen cannot
HiLight is the more unusual hardware addition. When the phone is face down, Google says it can glow for favorite contacts. It can also glow during Gemini conversations. The idea is modest. However, it gives the camera bar a job beyond photography. It may also be more practical than waking the display for every alert.
Google is also putting more Gemini features front and center. Availability varies by country, language, age, subscription, and app setup. Google notes those limits in its footnotes.
