Tag Heuer is almost ready to release their first Android smartwatch, the first Swiss watchmaker to hit the market. Bloomberg recently reported that the Tag Heuer will start selling their upcoming smartwatch for $1,400. This new smartwatch from the respected timepiece manufacturer shows resemblances to its Tag Heuer Carrera ($1,500), which is inspired by motor racing. So far all that we know is that Intel will be responsible for the Tag Heuer smartwatch’s chipsets and its built-in sensors, Android Wear will be the devices OS.

Tag Heuer CEO Jean-Claude Biver, states that their smartwatch battery will last you 40 hours, meaning that you can easily go a full day without charging. This feature alone puts Tag Heuer’s smartwatch as the longest lasting smartwatch in the industry (other than Pebble), Apple Watch and other Android Wear smartwatches don’t even come close. The weird part is that CEO Biver is actually rooting with Apple, hoping that they sell tons of Apple Watches.

“The more they sell, the more a few people will want something different and come to Tag Heuer.”Jean-Claude Biver, Tag Heuer CEO

We can expect the release date of their watch should be sometime around October or November of this year.
