It took forever but it looks like OnePlus One users might finally get the Android 5.0-based Cyanogen OS 12 update, after so many delays. Android Lollipop has already been released for OnePlus One via OxygenOS, but it needs to be installed manually, this update is not meant for regular consumers to install.
According to OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, the Cyanogen OS 12 update is expected to start rolling out in the next few days. Pei stated that the update passed the needed certification yesterday and is ready now for the consumers.
If you have the OnePlus One smartphone with the factory-installed Cyanogen OS version pre-installed, you can expect to see the OTA update notification soon. The update is likely to reach all markets including India.
.@jorgepenteado CM12s just passed certification today. Thanks for the patience, expect rollout in the next few days.
