Michael Jackson may be gone for several years now, yet new materials from The King of Pop just keeps on coming. Michael Jackson’s “A Place with No Name” music video debuted on Wednesday 10PM, EST – 3am Thursday in the UK on twitter. The song is from Jackson’s posthumous album Xscape, which featured several unreleased songs, from Epic Records. “A Place With No Name” was inspired by “A Horse With No Name,” the 1972 hit by America, and the King of Pop recorded his “A Place With No Name” version in 1998 at Record Plant Recording Studio in Los Angeles. Michael Jackson’s video release is the first time a music video has premiered on Twitter, with the whole clip featured in tweet form.

The music video is directed by Samuel Bayer, who made the videos for Robbie Williams‘ Angels and Justin Timberlake‘s What Goes Around… Comes Around. The short film features behind-the-scenes footage and outtakes from the video for Michael Jackson’s 1992 single In The Closet.  For those who live in New York, the video will also be shown on the Sony screen in Times Square, New York at 10pm, EST.
