1047 Games Empulse is reportedly the name of the next project from the Splitgate studio, and the leak sounds aimed directly at fans who still miss Titanfall. Insider Gaming reports that it has seen pre-alpha footage of a movement shooter with grappling hooks, wall running, boost pads and mechs.

That is a very specific lane. 1047 Games has already said publicly that a small team is exploring a movement shooter inspired by games like Titanfall and Black Ops 3. The Empulse name, the reported mechanics and the pre-alpha footage details are not official announcements yet.

Why the Leak Has People Listening

Splitgate worked because it had one clean hook: Halo-style arena shooting with portals. A faster movement shooter could give 1047 another strong identity, especially if the studio can avoid feeling like it is only borrowing old Titanfall nostalgia.

The reported mech angle is the tricky part. Mechs can make a shooter feel huge, but they can also break pacing if the balance is off. Grappling hooks, wall running and boost pads all sound fun on paper. They need maps built around them, not just maps with movement pasted on top.

The studio context is why this one is worth watching. Splitgate proved 1047 can build a simple competitive idea around one memorable mechanic. Empulse needs that same clarity, even if the movement toolset is much louder.

Treat This as Early

There is no release date, no official trailer and no public Empulse page yet. That means readers should treat the report as early leak territory. The better signal is that 1047 has openly talked about making another movement shooter, and this report gives that ambition a possible name.

We will watch for an official reveal before judging it like a real product. For now, it is one more sign that movement shooters may be heating up again. For more gaming leaks and launches, check our Games section.
