Lyft just fine-tuned their pickup destinations when passengers are waiting for their ride to arrive, by making it that much more convenient. Now drivers don’t have to meet you at a particular drop-off and pick-up location, instead, they can arrive at your exact destination. No longer will you be late for your meetings trying to cross the street to meet the driver. I’m sure that this new approach will make Lyft’s ride program much more attractive and when passengers are in a rush (such as making it to the hospital just in time to see the new baby) Lyft’s new and improved user experience will give them a competitive edge in the ride service market. Now passengers don’t have to meet the driver somewhere, they can tell them where they’d like to be picked up at. This new pinpoint feature along with the recent release of pre-scheduling rides for future pickups sounds like a worthy, long-term relationship that I can’t wait to test out.
