Italian luxury fashion house Moschino collaborates with Nintendo to create ‘Super Moschino’ collection. This is not the first time Moschino is embracing the consumer culture by infusing culture with fashion. In 2014, the brand’s creative director, Jeremy Scott, generated a lot of buzz with his designed pieces based on fast food chain McDonald’s, cartoon character SpongeBob and, his most recent Barbie 2015 spring collection.
The reason for the Moschino and Nintendo collaboration was to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. — the iconic Mario character we all love. The Super Moschino collection includes a set of t-shirts, sweaters, bags, belts and accessories featuring graphics of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, coins, stars and mushrooms. The products will be available for purchase via Moschino’s online store, Moschino boutiques in Los Angeles, Milan, New York City and Rome, and some multibrand stores worldwide. The “Super Moschino” collection will be launched December 5th 2015.
