The ability to stream contents from your mobile device has been available on Roku, but to own the content streaming world you’d have to allow screen mirroring, and that’s just what Roku did. Roku Screen Mirroring was released in Beta yesterday for Android and Windows 8.1 devices yesterday. The screen mirroring works on a list of compatible devices, allows you to broadcast anything and everything from your device to the Roku 3 and Roku Streaming Stick (HDMI Version). Enabling the feature is as simple as making sure your Roku player and your phone or mobile device is connected to the same wireless network, go to Settings from the left navigation menu, and enable Screen Mirroring. The Roku Screen Mirroring feature will be available for users around the world, all supported Roku devices should all receive it within the next couple of weeks.
