Sony ColleXion headphones are looking more real by the hour, but this is still a leak. HotEUDeals.com says it obtained leaked Sony press renders for a premium 1000X model called 1000X “The ColleXion”. The material points to a May 19, 2026 reveal.

The report frames this as more than a normal WH-1000XM follow-up. It describes a luxury 1000X release that would sit above the WH-1000XM6. The listed price is 629 euros, 549 pounds or $649. Sony has not confirmed the name, price or specs, so keep the usual leak caution in place.

What the leak shows

HotEUDeals says the material includes 20 product renders and eight promo slides. The images show Black and Platinum White versions. They also show a redesigned case, a polished metal yoke and a cleaner earcup shape.

That metal yoke matters. Sony’s recent 1000X headphones have faced complaints from some owners about hinge durability. A stronger-looking hinge would make sense on a model aimed at the luxury end of the line.

The spec sheet is the bigger hook. The leak points to 12-microphone adaptive noise cancellation powered by Sony’s QN3 and V3 processors. It also mentions six-mic AI beamforming for calls.

The audio pitch sounds more serious too. HotEUDeals says the leaked slides name Battery Studios, Sterling Sound and Coast Mastering as tuning partners. That gives the ColleXion a studio-coded angle, not just a travel-headphone angle.

The cable detail is already messy

The leaked battery numbers are interesting. The slides list up to 24 hours with ANC on and 32 hours with ANC off. They also claim a five-minute charge gives 1.5 hours of playback.

That would trail the WH-1000XM6’s advertised ANC number. The tradeoff may come from the extra processors and the more premium driver story. Again, Sony still needs to confirm the final retail specs.

One detail already looks messy. HotEUDeals says the leaked “in the box” slide says Sony will not include a charging cable. Other leaked product layout images appear to show a USB-A-to-USB-C cable beside the headphones.

One of those details is probably wrong. The final box contents should become clear if Sony announces the headphones on May 19.

Why this one matters

If the leak is accurate, Sony is pushing the 1000X name into a more expensive lane. That puts The ColleXion closer to luxury over-ear rivals than everyday noise-canceling headphones.

We have already watched premium audio prices climb. Noble Audio’s $699 Fokus Apollo Pro headset is one recent example.

For now, the smart move is to wait for Sony’s reveal. Still, the leaked renders carry enough detail to make this feel bigger than random rumor smoke. If Sony really built a luxury 1000X anniversary model, it has to justify the higher price with more than a sharper case and a prettier hinge.
