Edifier Auro Ace Puts Lyrics on Your Earcups

Edifier Auro Ace puts a tiny display on the earcups for lyrics, themes and custom text.

Edifier Auro Ace is the actual headphone with the strange little trick: its earcups can show visual text and themed effects while music plays. That makes it less like a normal budget headphone and more like a wearable billboard for your playlist.

The idea is weird, but it is also memorable. Edifier calls the Auro Ace a lyric-display headphone, and the product page shows the earcup cycling through text, themes and visual modes through the Edifier Connect app.

The display is the hook

The outside of the earcup can show things like weather-style labels, mood themes and custom text. That means the Auro Ace is not trying to win only on sound. It is selling the look as much as the listening experience.

Edifier also lists Bluetooth 6.0, wired USB listening, dual-device connection, AI call noise reduction and app controls. The company says the headphones weigh about 130 grams and can run for up to 62 hours, which makes the lightweight frame just as important as the screen gimmick.

Fun, but very specific

The Auro Ace feels built for younger listeners who want headphones to be part of the outfit. The design is closer to fashion tech than traditional over-ear gear. That could make it stand out on social video, especially if the display is bright enough in real life.

The risk is obvious too. A lyric screen on the earcup will not matter if comfort, tuning or durability disappoints. It also may feel too playful for people who want quiet, understated headphones.

Still, this is the kind of odd product idea that makes budget audio more interesting. We have seen plenty of headphones chase the same ANC-and-battery checklist in Tech My Money’s audio coverage. Edifier Auro Ace at least gives people something different to talk about.
