With so many wireless earbuds in the market that look alike, Poly found a way distinguish their new “Poly Voyager Free 60+” from rest. The company added a functional display to the case of the Voyager Free 60+. The OLED touchscreen display on the case allows you to control music playback and volume, change settings, answer and end calls, see how much battery power is left, and more. The small is not all you get from the case, it also comes with Qi charging.
As for the stems, they come with multipoint connection, adaptive noise cancellation in both directions and “WindSmart technology to block out distracting background noises”, AptX, and control gestures. They are also protected against moisture according to the IP54 standard. As if the above features aren’t enough, headphone comes with a separate USB receiver for connecting it with systems without Bluetooth. There’s also a 3.5mm to USB-C cable that allows you to connect the case to an older device with a headphone jack. Frequent flyers will find this feature handy.
The standard version includes a charging case that offers 10 additional hours of talk time. With the ANC system, the Poly Voyager Free 60+ themselves should last about eight hours. On paper, the Poly Voyager Free 60+ is a highly capable and convenient headset that is suitable for a wide range of professional and personal use cases. We will just have to wait till we get our hands on one to find out. The Plus version is currently priced at at $350 while the non-plus version that comes with a more traditional case starts at $299.99 when they become available sometime in March.
