The XREAL 1 Pro+ augmented reality glasses have launched as an updated hardware refresh to the company’s flagship wearable lineup. Available to order through the official XREAL storefront, the glasses bring brighter optics and ergonomic refinements. For buyers in the United States, retail pricing remains anchored at $599, though shipping timelines depend on frame size.
Brighter Micro-OLED Optics and 60fps Spatial Depth
The primary hardware upgrade on the 1 Pro+ is display output. XREAL boosted peak brightness on the dual 0.55-inch Sony Micro-OLED panels up to 1,200 nits. That represents roughly a 71 percent jump over the 700 nits delivered by the original One Pro. The added luminance headroom helps prevent ambient daylight from washing out virtual windows. In addition, XREAL incorporated AI HDR processing to balance contrast across connected video feeds and games.
Spatial media conversion also sees an important speed bump. The onboard REAL 3D engine now processes 2D-to-3D depth conversion at 60fps, double the 30fps ceiling of the prior generation. However, existing customers should weigh their upgrade carefully. XREAL confirmed that older models, including the XREAL One, One Pro, and 1S, are scheduled to receive the same 60fps 3D conversion feature via a firmware update in November 2026. As a result, software depth conversion is not a permanent hardware exclusive for the new model.
Core optical specifications otherwise align with the established platform. The glasses project a 1920×1080 resolution per eye across a 57-degree field of view using custom optical prisms, with display refresh rates reaching up to 120Hz. Processing is handled by XREAL’s proprietary X1 spatial computing chip, which runs native three-degrees-of-freedom tracking on the glasses to anchor virtual monitors in physical space.
Nose Pad Overhaul and Hardware Boundaries
Ergonomics mark the second significant change. XREAL replaced the previous nasal interface with a redesigned nose pad assembly. According to XREAL, the new component features an expanded contact area intended to improve weight distribution, wearing comfort, and display alignment over extended sessions.

Prospective buyers should keep hardware boundaries in mind. The 1 Pro+ functions purely as a tethered display peripheral, drawing power and video via USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode from phones, laptops, or handhelds like the Steam Deck. The frames do not house an onboard battery, cellular modem, or standalone operating system.
Furthermore, the base frames omit integrated cameras entirely, avoiding bystander recording concerns in public spaces compared with camera-equipped smart glasses such as the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 lineup. For users who want photo and video capture or six-degrees-of-freedom tracking, XREAL sells the optional XREAL Eye camera module separately for $99. However, recording mixed-reality video requires pairing the Eye accessory with XREAL’s Beam Pro companion device.
US Pricing, Sizing, and Availability
Orders are open now on the US storefront for $599, but fulfillment differs by size. Size M, designed for interpupillary distances between 57mm and 66mm, is in stock immediately. Size L, built for IPDs between 66mm and 75mm, is scheduled to ship within two weeks of purchase. Within XREAL’s wearable portfolio, the 1 Pro+ sits as the premium display-focused tier above the entry-level XREAL a01+ AR glasses ($299). For users who need higher outdoor luminance and improved comfort out of the box, the 1 Pro+ offers a targeted, practical hardware refresh.
