Bentley Torcal is now official, at least as a name. Bentley Motors says its newest model line will be revealed in London on September 23, 2026. The nameplate will sit beside the Continental GT, Flying Spur, and Bentayga.

However, Bentley is still holding back the hard numbers. The company has not released drivetrain specs, range, charging details, cabin photos, or pricing for Torcal. Instead, this first teaser focuses on what the vehicle means inside Bentley’s lineup. It is a fourth model line, a new chapter, and a reveal set before the end of September.

Bentley Torcal joins the core lineup

Specifically, Bentley says Torcal continues its modern habit of borrowing names from unusual landscapes. The name points to El Torcal de Antequera in Andalusia, Spain. That limestone landscape is known for stacked rock formations, cliffs, and winding natural shapes.

In fact, Bentley also notes that Torcal traces back to the Latin word “torquere,” meaning “to twist.” That gives the name an easy link to torque without turning the teaser into a spec sheet.

Meanwhile, Bentley Chairman and CEO Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser is already positioning the car as a major step. “Our new Torcal sets extraordinary benchmarks in every area that matters, and may just be the most considered car in our history,” Walliser said in Bentley’s announcement.

That is a deliberately big claim. Still, Bentley’s announcement does not yet say how Torcal will deliver on it. The company only says more updates will arrive before the London reveal. Therefore, Bentley appears ready to share the name and brand direction now, while the technical story comes later.

Why this teaser matters

The timing matters because Bentley is moving its old-school luxury identity toward an electric future. It also needs to protect the handmade, high-performance image buyers expect from the badge. Also, Bentley’s broader Beyond100+ strategy says the company plans to become exclusively electric from 2035.

For readers following premium EVs, Torcal lands in a wider shift. Automakers want electric cars to feel less like appliance tech and more like flagship identity pieces. Recently, Tech My Money covered how Faraday Future is pitching a broader vehicle lineup. We also covered how design-led car stories such as Ferrari Luce show why branding still matters around future mobility.

Additionally, the official teaser image keeps the vehicle mostly hidden. It shows a dark rear view with the Bentley badge and a wide light signature. It does enough to make Torcal feel like a serious luxury product. However, it does not confirm the body style or proportions.

Consequently, we are treating the September 23 reveal as the real moment for the details that matter. That includes shape, platform, powertrain, range, interior technology, and launch timing.

For now, Bentley Torcal is a name, a date, and a signal. It tells us Bentley is ready to add a fourth pillar to its portfolio, but it also leaves the most important questions deliberately open until London.
