Sony’s GTA 6 DualSense controllers arrive in black and white. At the September 3 State of Play, the company revealed the two Grand Theft Auto VI limited editions. Pre-orders open September 10 at 10 AM ET, and both ship November 19 alongside GTA 6. Engadget flagged the reveal, yet the details below come from the PlayStation Blog.
Vice City, molded in plastic
Both editions wear a shimmering, color-shifting finish that blends sunset hues with neon glow. Hot pink button detailing and an iridescent blue center carry the Miami palette. Moreover, palm tree details are molded directly into the grips, so the theme is tactile as well as visual. The touchpad shows the Roman numeral VI in Rockstar’s official branding.
Sony frames the pair as day and night. The White Limited Edition embodies Vice City at daybreak, with white sands and pastel skies. The Black Limited Edition captures the city’s nightlife instead. Isabelle Tomatis, Sony Interactive Entertainment’s vice president of global marketing, wrote that Vice City’s unmistakable style comes to life in these two new limited-edition DualSense wireless controller designs.

Price, dates, and where to buy
Each controller costs $84.99 in the US, 84.99 euros, 74.99 pounds or 12,480 yen including tax. That is only a little above the standard DualSense price, yet scarcity will do the real pricing. The White edition sells globally at direct.playstation.com and participating retailers, in limited quantities. However, the Black edition stays exclusive to direct.playstation.com where available, with select retailers elsewhere. So US buyers get first crack at both, while other regions may see only white on shelves.
Pre-orders start September 10 at 7 AM PT and 10 AM ET in the US, and 10 AM local time across the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. Launch follows on November 19, the same day GTA 6 lands on PS5.
Why the timing matters
Sony is tying its hardware halo to the decade’s biggest launch. In GTA 6, the DualSense’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers respond to Jason and Lucia’s story with dynamic resistance. Therefore a themed pad is cheap marketing with real utility, and it rides the wave of the game’s confirmed $80 and $100 editions. Collectors should move fast, though. Limited runs plus a GTA launch week usually mean resale markups within hours. Sony’s accessory push is broad, from these pads to the Pulse Elevate speakers due the same month. If scalpers grab the stock, the palm-frond grips will stay out of reach until the hype cools.
