Cash App Wand brings Cash App’s new Tags line into the real world. According to the company’s June 4 press release, the $25 NFC accessory gives Cash App Card customers a small device for contactless checkout.
The product mixes payment tech with personal style. Cash App wants the Wand to feel like something people carry, clip, and show off, not just another item buried in a wallet or phone.

The first model uses a pearlescent finish and a built-in keychain. Customers can clip it to keys, a bag, or clothing. Cash App says more limited-run Tag styles will arrive before a wider rollout later this summer.
A wearable spin on contactless checkout
The Wand uses NFC and works with Visa contactless terminals through a customer’s existing Cash App Card account. Cash App pitches it for quick checkout moments, especially at events where a phone can feel awkward or inconvenient.

Cash App also highlights familiar Card protections. The company lists transaction alerts, fraud monitoring, and in-app controls for the accessory. Those details matter because the product makes payments more visible while keeping the card relationship familiar.
Why Cash App is trying accessories
Cash App is leaning into personalization and Gen Z style. The company says one in five American teens already has a customizable Cash App Card.
Cash App also says 38% of Gen Z consumers buy collectibles, accessories, or limited-edition items at least monthly. That context explains the Wand. It turns a payment product into a visible accessory while keeping the actual transaction system familiar.
