You post a funny Instagram video and ask your friends to watch it, they tell you they did watch it because they gave you a like. How do you even know they really watched it? Before now, the only way to judge the stats of your video on Instagram was the number of likes you rack up. Well that’s about to change, the guys from Instagram just confirmed this in a recent blog post, “over the next few weeks, you’ll start to see how many times people have watched a video on Instagram.” Watching at least 3 seconds of a video will count as a view. You’ll still be able to see your likes by tapping on the view counts. There’s no definite date for the new Instagram feature so you’ll just have to hang in there for the next few weeks to catch your friends in a lie.
