Meta just launched a dedicated Seller app for heavy Facebook Marketplace users. It packs AI listing tools, a unified inbox, inventory controls, and performance stats into one workspace instead of hunting through Facebook alone.
Therefore frequent resellers get a storefront-style hub while buyers still shop on Marketplace. The company says Marketplace now sees about 430 million listings each month worldwide as the product turns ten.
What Seller puts in one app
Seller syncs with Marketplace. Existing listings, messages, and selling history carry over. Anything you publish in the app shows up where buyers already browse. Meanwhile you can still list from Facebook if you prefer the old path.

Home surfaces what needs attention first. That includes items to ship, buyers waiting for a reply, and listings that may need a new price. In addition, a sales snapshot sits beside those tasks so you can see how the day is going.
AI listings, bulk tools, and a real inbox
Upload photos and Meta AI can draft a title, description, category, and price suggestion. Then bulk listing lets you create several posts at once. Listing management keeps view, edit, relist, and inventory work in one place.
Instead of hunting DMs across Facebook, Seller groups buyer chats in a unified inbox. Threads sit under each item so you can follow every conversation tied to a single listing. Performance insights track views, clicks, message threads, and sold items so you can reprice with better data.

Who can get it now
Seller is available now on the App Store for people 18 and older in the United States. Meta says a web experience for sellers who download the app is in testing on iOS and Android. As a result, desktop-heavy resellers should treat the web path as early access for now.
Why it matters
However, a dedicated seller app also tilts Marketplace further toward pro resellers. Casual garage-sale sellers may not need AI bulk tools. Power sellers will. Meta is clearly chasing more commercial activity on a surface that started as neighborhood handoffs.
Still, the timing fits Meta’s broader app-splitting pattern. Tech My Money covered the similar Meta Forum app for Facebook Groups and Facebook’s expanding AI tools inside Facebook. Seller is the commerce desk in that same platform push.
For now, treat Seller as an optional power tool, not a required upgrade. If you only post a few listings a month, Facebook Marketplace alone may still be enough. If inventory, messages, and pricing eat your day, the free-to-download Seller app is the clearer desk for that work.
