Terraria cross-play is still coming, and Re-Logic used the game's 15th anniversary to remind fans that the long-running sandbox is not done growing. The studio says cross-play is “on deck soon” after update 1.4.6, though it did not give a specific release date.

That matters because Terraria is no longer just an old indie hit. Re-Logic says the game has passed 70 million copies sold, with 39.6 million on PC, 10.7 million on console and 19.7 million on mobile. The tModLoader community has also crossed 12.3 million Steam downloads.

Cross-Play Is the Feature Fans Keep Waiting For

Terraria already works across a huge spread of platforms, but cross-play is the feature that would make the whole ecosystem feel modern. The studio is keeping its wording careful, so do not treat “soon” like a date. Still, the anniversary post makes it clear that cross-play remains a priority.

The Anniversary Merch Is Getting Real

Re-Logic also teased a 15th Anniversary Collector's Edition with more details and preorders expected in early June. The image is intentionally mysterious, so the smart move is to wait before pretending we know what is inside.

There is also a separate Terraria: Design Works book from Lost In Cult, with preorders opening May 28 at 6 PM BST. For a game this old, that kind of archival treatment feels earned.

The important thing is that Re-Logic is talking like a studio still invested in the community, not a team doing a nostalgia lap. Cross-play, anniversary collectibles and a proper art book all point to a game with plenty of life left.

Fifteen years later, Terraria is still getting meaningful updates, collector pieces and fan-service announcements that do not feel forced. That is rare. We cover more long-tail gaming updates in our Games section.
