Adobe just put Adobe Premiere Mobile on Android. The free app is on Google Play today, and Adobe says it needs no login to start editing. Phones need Android 13 or later and at least 5GB of RAM.
What’s on Android today
Adobe frames this as the same Premiere mobile app that launched on iPhone last year. Now it is open on Android. It is not Premiere Pro on a tiny screen. Instead, it is a phone-first editor with a multi-track timeline for video, music, voiceovers, text, and effects.
Enhance Audio is the feature Adobe leads with. One tap is meant to cut background noise and clean interviews or voiceovers shot in cafes, on trains, or outdoors. Frame-accurate cuts sit next to that, so a clip can land on a beat or a reaction without guessing.
Creators can also start from templates, pull effects and music from Adobe Stock, and export up to 4K. Adobe says exports carry no watermark. Firefly tools in the app include Generative Fill, Image-to-Video, and Generate Sound Effects.
Free editing, paid extras
“The Adobe Premiere mobile app is now available on Android, bringing intuitive and powerful video editing to millions more creators around the world, for free,” Adobe wrote. The company also says the experience has no ads and no forced upgrade prompts.
That free lane still has paid add-ons. Adobe sells extra generative credits and cloud storage inside the app. Firefly features sit in the same product. Heavier AI use can cost money even though the editor itself does not require a Creative Cloud plan to open.
This matches Adobe’s Firefly push into more surfaces, including when the Firefly AI assistant moved into Premiere on desktop. It also fits Adobe putting tools where people already work, as with Photoshop and Firefly inside Slack.
What Adobe still has coming
Several requested tools are still on the roadmap. Adobe lists Adobe Fonts, enhanced captions, keyframes, cropping, beat detection, and continued editing on Premiere desktop as coming soon. Until those land, Android users cannot treat the phone app as a full handoff into desktop Premiere.
The practical next step is the Play Store listing. If a phone meets Android 13 and the 5GB RAM floor, Adobe Premiere Mobile is ready to install today.
