Gas-X recall checks should start with the lot number. Haleon has recalled four lots of Gas-X Extra Strength Softgels 125 mg after finding a possible chemical contamination issue tied to packaging equipment.
The FDA-posted company announcement says the recall covers select 120-count and 72-count packages that reached consumers in April and May 2026. Haleon says a machine leak during packaging may have exposed some softgels to diluted propylene glycol-based coolant.
Which Gas-X Lots Are Recalled?
The recall applies only to the lots below. Haleon says it does not cover other lots of Gas-X Extra Strength, Gas-X Ultra, Gas-X Maximum, or Gas-X Ultimate.
- Gas-X Extra Strength Softgels 120 ct. – UPC 300674350419 – lots TL8K, YH9X, and YH9Y – expiration date Nov. 30, 2028.
- Gas-X Extra Strength Softgels 72 ct. – UPC 300439005721 – lot X78N – expiration date Nov. 30, 2028.

Gas-X Extra Strength Softgels use green capsules and packaging with a green band. If you bought the product on or after April 13, 2026, check the lot number before taking more.
What Consumers Should Do
Haleon says anyone with a matching lot should stop taking the product immediately. Consumers can contact Haleon Consumer Relations at 1-800-245-1040, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET. The FDA notice also points consumers to Haleon’s contact form for returns and reimbursement requests.
The company says affected softgels may cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea if someone ingests contaminated capsules. Haleon says it had not received any related adverse-event reports as of the announcement date.
This is a safety recall, so the lot check matters more than the purchase location. If you already used a recalled product and experienced symptoms that may relate to it, contact a physician or healthcare provider. The FDA notice also says consumers can report adverse reactions through the agency’s MedWatch program.
