Microsoft just made Xbox One Media Remote official today, barely one week after it briefly surfaced at a Canadian retailer. Microsoft confirmed that the Media Remote will be available in early March for Xbox One owners. The peripheral lets users navigate your Xbox One better than the gamepad. Users can navigate, launch, and control media apps, and it also controls TV or AV receiver volume by using the Kinect as an infrared blaster. The Xbox One Media Remote has built motion-activated backlit buttons that lightup as soon as you pick it up. The Xbox One Media Remote will be available in early March, and it’s priced at $24.99. It actually makes sense to have one, since the Xbox One is a an entertainment center and a gaming console all in one.
