Humans can’t fly over the moon with bicycles yet, but a team researchers in Czech successfully had test flight with a bicycle, yes a Flying Bicycle! The radio-controlled bicycle weighs about 220-pound, has six battery-powered propellers, carried a dummy on board for its test flight. The flight lasted a few minutes due to the small batteries that provided power, you could say it was successful as it sore around the exhibition center. The researchers replaced the wings needed for the flight with the static drive of six horizontal propellers.
“Our main motivation in working on the project was neither profit nor commercial interest, but the fulfillment of our boyish dreams,” another participant in the project Ales Kobylik said.
Though still in the prototype stage, the developers said, a human-carrying version could take off by the end of the year, check out the video to see the bicycle in action.
