Gmail for iOS now links directly to native YouTube, Google Maps and Chrome apps

Google rolled out an update for the official iOS Gmail app today, letting your “YouTube, Google Maps and Chrome links go directly to the app instead of the mobile web, if installed.” iOS Gmail users have had to deal with the redirection to web browsers since the official Gmail app launch for iOS way back in 2011. This feature can be turned off through the in-app settings, but I bet iOS users are a pleased to have it. The update bumps the app to version 2.2.7182, and adds “support for signing out of a “single account instead of having to sign out of all accounts at once.” Hit the source link below the break to grab the update.
