The new Dacia Spring EV starts at €17,900 in France, according to Dacia’s September 8 order announcement. Renault Group will build this second generation in Novo Mesto, Slovenia. However, the French purchase aid highlighted by Dacia still depends on eligibility checks.
French prices and the subsidy condition
Expression costs €17,900, while Journey starts at €19,400 before government aid. Both versions are available to order in France. Dacia’s price chart also separates options from those base prices, including a €300 domestic charging cable.
Dacia cites French aid of €3,620 to €6,180, depending on household income. Crucially, its footnote makes that conditional on the vehicle qualifying at invoicing, including the required environmental score. European production alone does not guarantee every buyer that discount.

Dacia Spring EV range and charging
The official Spring press kit lists a 60 kW motor and 27.5 kWh usable LFP battery. Dacia claims up to 250 km, or about 155 miles, under the combined WLTP test. Actual range will vary with weather, speed and use.
Standard AC charging is 6.6 kW. Meanwhile, the €500 fast-charge pack on Journey adds 11 kW AC and 50 kW DC charging. With the DC option, Dacia quotes 15-80% in 28 minutes. Therefore, that time should not describe the base car without qualification.
A larger cabin, with a trim choice
The new body is 15 cm longer and 18 cm wider than its predecessor. Inside, Journey adds a 10.1-inch navigation screen and reversing camera. Expression instead uses the simpler Media Control setup. That distinction matters when judging what the advertised starting price includes.
