Marshall Stockwell III is here with a battery claim that actually matters for a portable speaker: more than 40 hours of playtime on one charge.

Marshall’s official product page positions the new Stockwell III as a compact Bluetooth speaker with 360-degree sound. It also keeps the brand’s tactile amp-style controls. The design still looks like it wandered out of a guitar shop. The big upgrade is endurance. Marshall lists 40+ hours of playtime, up from the roughly 20-hour claim attached to the older Stockwell II.

What Marshall Changed

The Stockwell III keeps the familiar square body, carrying strap, brass control panel, and textured grille. Under the surface, Marshall adds Bluetooth 5.3, Auracast support, and multipoint connectivity. Codec support includes AAC, SBC, and LC3. The speaker also has a 3.5 mm input. Its USB-C port can charge other audio devices at 5V/3A.

Marshall also leans into durability and repairability. The Stockwell III carries an IP55 dust and water resistance rating. It weighs 2.9 pounds and uses a rechargeable, replaceable lithium-ion battery. A 20-minute charge can add up to eight hours of playtime with a 30W USB-C PD charger. A full recharge takes under three hours.

Colorways and Availability

Marshall’s own page currently shows the Stockwell III in black and brass as well as cream. The U.S. product page also lists the speaker through Marshall’s direct storefront, though pricing and retailer availability can vary by region and storefront.

The appeal is pretty straightforward. This is for people who want the Marshall look without dragging around a heavier speaker. If you care more about room-filling home audio, our recent Bowers & Wilkins 800 Series Diamond D5 coverage sits at the other end of the speaker world.

For portable use, the more interesting Stockwell III details are the replaceable battery and charge-out USB-C port. Those two choices make it feel less disposable than a typical Bluetooth speaker, even before you get to the 40+ hour battery claim.
