Since it’s release last year, Windows 10 has seemed to grow on its users. Sure some complained that it’s slightly different but for the most part nearly all Windows 8 & 8.1 users have converted to the new upgrade and would prefer to not go back. With Windows 10 there are plenty of ways to secure your PC with passwords, texts, picture passwords, face scans & PINs, but now Microsoft wants Windows 10 Mobile users to easily be able to login to their PC without any worry. All you need is your phone and to pair your device with the PC over Bluetooth or NFC. The Phone Sign-in app is currently available for download, but it is still in beta stage and you’ll need to make sure you have a PIN, Office 365 account or an internal account on the PC you are trying to connect to. Who new that the key to unlocking your device could be right in your pocket.
Windows 10 already does a lot to spare you from typing in your password, but Microsoft wants to take that text-free login one step further. The company has quietly posted a beta Phone Sign-in app for Windows 10 Mobile that, as the name suggests, signs you into your nearby Windows 10 PC (you have to pair over Bluetooth) with a tap. There’s no guarantee that you can run it — you’ll need the right credentials on top of living in an all-Microsoft ecosystem. If all the stars align, though, the Lumia in your pocket might be all you need to authenticate and start working.
