Sunrise

By now you have heard of Sunrise, the social calendar app that has the potential of replacing your Android, iOS or Mac stock calendar. Sunrise is chock full of features that most platforms really lack, especially social integration & maps, within the calendar.

Well Microsoft plans on joining the list of users, but more than that, TechCrunch claims that the Windows brand is buying Sunrise for $100 million. Microsoft and Sunrise hasn’t saying anything yet, but based on reports from Tech Crunch, Microsoft plans to keep Sunrise’s existing apps while using its features into its other Microsoft products.

We could imagine Windows and Outlook getting upgraded calendars in the future that will be the envy of every iPad and Mac user.
