Amazon unveiled their smart speaker ‘Echo’ last November with it having access to only iHeartRadio or Prime Music tunes. Even though the Amazon Echo could stream music on your mobile device from iTunes, Pandora and Spotify, it still lacked some basic control playback features. The company is pushing a new update for the Echo smart speaker that allows you to control your iTunes, Pandora and Spotify apps without the need to skip the tracks from smartphone or tablet.
Along with the control playback and a fun new “Simon says” feature that lets Echo repeat whatever you have in mind, a couple of improvements come with the update too. The companion app is now available on both iOS and Android 5.0+. If you are one of the lucky few who received invites to buy one, you can checkout the update to see if it fixed any problem you had with the Amazon Echo.
