Guess who’s jumping on the selfie band wagon, Fujiffilm’s new X-A2 camera is currently dubbed the ultimate selfie camera. The X-A2 compact system camera (CSC) was announced today as the successor to the entry-level X-A1 model. The X-A2 comes with the newly developed FUJINON XC16-50mm II (24-76mm) F3.5-5.6 OIS zoom lens and has a 175° tilting LCD with face and eye detection to give you a selfie worth $550 or $699. You can get the X-A2 for $550 with a 16-50 f/3.5-5.6 lens (24-75mm 50mm equivalent) or $699 with a 50-230mm lens. The X-A2 also features optical image stabilization of approximately 3.5-stops, making it easier to take telephoto and low light images.
Following the announcement of theX-A2 is the $399.95 XQ2 that comes in black / silver, white, and black finishes. TheXQ2’s comes with a decent processor for predominance, and the Kodachrome-style “Classic Chrome” film simulation found on the X30 and X100T. Both cameras will arrive next month if you’re interested in getting your hands on one.
