The Beats Pokémon Pill teaser puts a familiar portable speaker at the center of a new collaboration. Beats posted the six-second video on October 12, 2026, pairing a Pill-shaped speaker with a Poké Ball logo. It stops short of revealing a price or release date.
Beats gives the clip a fitting title: “Time to catch something new.” For now, though, it is a teaser rather than a detailed product announcement.
What the Pokémon teaser shows
The speaker sits mostly in shadow while yellow electrical flashes and blue-purple effects sweep across the scene. The video ends with the Beats logo beside a Poké Ball. That confirms the Pokémon connection without providing a clear look at the finished artwork.
Pikachu would fit the electric theme, but the video does not name the character. Nor does it identify a second character or explain how many versions are coming. The effects alone are not a confirmed design lineup.
The standard Pill offers a reference point
For comparison, Beats lists the standard Pill at $149.99 on its US site. That is the existing speaker’s price, not a confirmed price for the Pokémon edition.
The current model supports Bluetooth and wired lossless audio over USB-C. Lossless playback requires a compatible USB-enabled source device and compatible content from a supported app or service; it is not a promise of lossless audio over Bluetooth.
Beats rates the standard Pill for up to 24 hours of battery life. Its testing used 50% volume, and actual runtime varies with settings, environment and use. A 10-minute Fast Fuel charge provides up to two hours of playback under the company’s test conditions.
It also carries an IP67 dust- and water-resistance rating. Beats cautions that resistance can diminish with wear and says not to charge the speaker while wet. The teaser does not establish whether the Pokémon model changes any of these specifications.
Pokémon has already appeared on the Fitbit Air Pokémon Sleep special edition we covered. For the Beats collaboration, the remaining buying questions are the final designs, regional availability, price and launch date. The October 12 teaser leaves those details open.
