The Kia EV3 is now Kia’s cheapest electric SUV in the United States. In the official Kia America release, pricing starts at $29,890 MSRP, plus $1,495 destination. That Light FWD sticker undercuts the mid-$30,000 target Kia talked about when it showed the 2027 EV3 earlier this year.
The official trim ladder
Kia prices the 2027 EV3 before destination as follows. Specifically, Light FWD is $29,890, Wind FWD is $34,990, and Wind AWD is $38,690. Land FWD is $38,490, Land AWD is $41,690, GT-Line AWD is $43,490, and the dual-motor GT AWD is $45,890. Also, the GT is rated at 288 horsepower.
Wind FWD and Land FWD are the range leaders. Kia says those two trims can travel up to 321 miles on a charge. Meanwhile, every EV3 gets a built-in NACS port, so it can use Tesla Superchargers without an adapter. Kia also says a 350 kW DC fast charger can take the battery from 10 to 80 percent in about 31 minutes.
What the Light trim still includes
However, this is still a small SUV, not a stripped city car. Kia lists a standard battery heater, available heat pump on AWD models, and available heated front seats and steering wheel. Optional Nightfall black wheels and roof rails sit on top. As a result, first-time EV shoppers get cold-weather hardware without jumping to the GT.
That price lands in a crowded cheap-EV lane. We already covered BYD’s Seal 06 opening near $16,100 in China. Also, charging access is the other half of the deal: GM’s Energy Pass is one example of how brands are trying to make public DC charging less painful. The EV3’s NACS port is Kia’s version of that bet.
Retailers set the out-the-door number. Add destination, taxes, and options, and the Light FWD will not stay under $31,000. Until Kia names on-sale timing in more detail, treat $29,890 as the factory sticker, not the check you write.
