GeForce NOW Firefox support is live on Windows. In the official Mozilla blog post, NVIDIA opens GeForce RTX cloud play in Mozilla’s browser. Firefox users can stream more than 2,000 PC games from a Windows PC. They skip a separate app, a long install, and a hardware upgrade.
Stream at 1440p from the browser
Mozilla says Ultimate members can hit 1440p and 120 FPS. NVIDIA’s system requirements page matches that cap. NVIDIA requires an Ultimate membership for QHD and 120 FPS in a browser. NVIDIA lists Firefox 153 or later, and only on Windows. Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Opera GX already sit on that same browser list. Meanwhile, NVIDIA keeps the native Windows app for 4K and higher frame-rate work. Additionally, Firefox.com repeats the Windows-only, nothing-to-install pitch.
Because cloud play taxes every click, Mozilla and NVIDIA spent months on the work. Andrew Fear, director of NVIDIA GeForce NOW, praised the browser bar. He said Firefox earned its place on our list of supported browsers. Ajit Varma, head of Firefox, called the tie-up a milestone moment for both communities.
Use the library you already own
Sign in at play.geforcenow.com with a GeForce NOW account. Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Xbox PC Game Pass, and Ubisoft Connect can feed the same library. Mozilla names Cyberpunk 2077, Halo: Campaign Evolved, and Fortnite as example titles. Mozilla also talks up Split View for a Discord call, a guide, or Reddit between matches. Then go full screen when you want to play.
However, today’s launch stays on Windows. Still, Linux Firefox stays off the official browser list. NVIDIA already ships a native Linux app, as we covered when the GeForce NOW Linux app left beta. Firefox already shipped other browser bets this year, including its opt-in AI Window on mobile.
As a result, Windows Firefox users can stream without a second app. Therefore, you need a fast line. NVIDIA asks for 35 Mbps for QHD at 120 FPS. Mozilla cites more than 2,000 PC games. NVIDIA’s catalog page lists 4000-plus titles in the cloud. Mozilla points to Gamescom on August 25 for more partnership news. So update Firefox, open the play site, and start a session.
