KONKR Pocket Advance is AYANEO’s horizontal Game Boy Advance-style remake under the KONKR sub-brand. CEO Arthur showed a real unit on July 31. The company frames it as a “REMAKE” of classic landscape handhelds, not a one-to-one Nintendo clone.

Meanwhile, AYANEO has not published price or a firm ship date. The unveil post ends with a wait-for-launch note. So this is a product showcase, not a store listing yet.

Design-wise, the shell keeps a landscape silhouette with an inward curve for a two-hand grip. Official dimensions are 151.3 × 82.4 × 22 mm. Weight is about 224 g. Color options start with Navy Blue and Coral Orange.

Screen, controls, and ports

The display is a 3.5-inch 3:2 LCD at 960 × 640. AYANEO says that ratio echoes classic horizontal panels. It also claims 4x point-to-point display tech for sharper retro pixels. That matters if you want GBA-era proportions without a modern 16:9 stretch.

Controls stay classic first. You get a D-pad plus ABXY face buttons with conductive rubber. Then KONKR adds L1/R1 and separate L2/R2 shoulders for wider game support. Menu buttons round out the front deck.

Connectivity is modern. The unit includes USB-C for data and PD charging, a microSD slot, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.0. A 3.5 mm jack and a physical volume wheel return as deliberate retro touches.

Software stack and what is still missing

Because KONKR sits under AYANEO, the Pocket Advance rides the same Android software path. AYANEO names AYASpace for retro game management, AYAHome as the launcher, and AYASetting as the device control panel. That stack is meant to keep library setup less fiddly than a stock Android build.

However, the official post skips key shopping facts. There is no SoC, battery size, RAM, storage SKU, or MSRP on the page. Therefore, treat performance claims as pending until AYANEO publishes a full spec sheet.

Who it is for

If you already liked AYANEO’s pocket remakes, this is the landscape sibling to the Pocket MICRO 2 Game Boy Micro-style handheld. It also sits in the same conversation as value-first options like the Retroid Pocket Nova, though those machines already list price and silicon.

Bottom line: KONKR Pocket Advance is a clear GBA-shaped Android remake with a 3.5-inch 3:2 panel, extra shoulders, and modern ports. For now it is a show unit. Wait for price, chipset, and ship date before you treat it as a buy.
