Casio CRW-H001 turns the brand’s tiny ring watch into a health wearable with a real digital face. The China-store model CRW-H001M-8 sells for ¥1,990 (about $294) and stacks heart-rate, blood-oxygen, temperature, and sleep tracking under a miniature Casio LCD.
That mix is the point. Most smart rings stay blank metal bands that dump data to a phone. Casio keeps a working clock face, stopwatch, dual time, calendar, and LED light on your finger, then adds the sensor suite Oura-class buyers expect. The company also calls out call and message vibration, silent alarms, and health alerts through a low-power motor.
Casio lists the smart module’s full-charge runtime at about four to six days, with roughly 25 days on standby. The LCD side uses a separate cell rated near two years. Case materials are ceramic and stainless steel. The medium size weighs about 19 g and measures 25.3 × 19.5 × 6 mm, with everyday water resistance rather than swim-rated sealing.
Health features, app, and what Casio claims
According to the official product page, all-day monitoring covers heart rate, blood oxygen, and body temperature. The AIZO RING companion app also logs steps, calories, training sessions, sleep recovery, and a broader health report. Casio positions the data for general fitness and wellness only. It is not a medical device.
The app targets iOS 13+, Android 7+, and HarmonyOS 2+, with some HarmonyOS 5 limits on notification features. Pairing runs over the phone, while the ring itself still shows time without opening the app. That on-device display is the clearest split from plain smart rings that stay mute until you check your phone.
Sizes, price, and China-only sales
Casio sells three ring sizes at the same ¥1,990 price: CRW-H001S-8 (size 9), CRW-H001M-8 (size 10), and CRW-H001L-8 (size 11). Inner diameters run about 19.3 mm, 20.1 mm, and 20.9 mm. Casio says it does not offer size adjustment, so buyers need the correct ring size upfront.
Importantly, Casio states the product sells only in China, and after-sales support stays limited to China as well. There is no confirmed U.S. or global storefront yet. That makes the launch a China-first experiment rather than a worldwide Oura rival on day one.
Who this ring watch is for
If you already liked Casio’s earlier ring watches, including the J Balvin gold CRW-001, the H001 line is the health-minded follow-up. It will not replace a full smartwatch stack such as the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 for deep dive or GPS work. Instead, it targets people who want steps, sleep, and a real digital face without another blank metal ring.
Bottom line: Casio just put a mini digital watch and a smart-ring sensor pack in one 19-gram band. China shoppers can buy it now for ¥1,990. Everyone else will have to wait for a wider rollout Casio has not promised yet.
