MSI is trying to make the “which monitor should I use for this game?” question easier. The new MSI MPG OLED 322URDX36 is a 31.5-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor with a Triple Mode setup. Instead of locking players to one balance of speed and sharpness, it offers three modes.
The headline numbers are the story. You can run 4K at 360Hz, 2K at 520Hz, or FHD at 680Hz. MSI says it will show the monitor at Computex 2026 as the lead model in its newest QD-OLED lineup.
Why Triple Mode matters
Dual-mode gaming monitors already let players trade sharpness for speed. MSI is adding a middle step. That could help if you want more frames than native 4K allows, but do not want to drop to 1080p for every match.

The panel is a fifth-generation QD-OLED with Penta Tandem technology. It also uses an RGB Stripe sub-pixel layout. MSI says that should reduce color fringing and keep text clearer than older OLED layouts.
There is more panel tech behind the headline. DarkArmor Film is meant to improve black levels by 40 percent and raise scratch resistance by 2.5 times. MSI also lists Uniform Luminance for HDR curve customization.
Still waiting on price
The rest of the spec sheet is built for a serious desk. MSI lists 1,500 nits of peak HDR brightness, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600, ClearMR 18000, and DisplayPort 2.1a with UHBR20 bandwidth. USB-C also supports 98W power delivery.
An AI Care Sensor handles OLED protection, according to MSI. The company says it uses human detection without compromising user privacy. That detail matters, because monitor software should not feel like another tracking layer.
The missing pieces are price and release timing. MSI has not shared those yet, so this is still more of a Computex flex than a shopping recommendation. Still, if Triple Mode works cleanly, it could be useful for players who bounce between cinematic games and competitive shooters. It also gives recent high-end displays like Samsung’s 6K Odyssey G8 a very different kind of rival.
