Acer Nitro Blaze Link is the oddest piece in Acer’s new gaming lineup, and that is what makes it interesting.
In its May 29 announcement, Acer framed the device as a streaming-first handheld. It is for people who already have a capable gaming PC nearby.
A Streaming-First Handheld

It sits beside the new Predator Helios 18 AI and Nitro 16 laptops. So the pitch is less “buy another full PC” and more “take the PC you own to the couch.”
The Nitro Blaze Link has a 7-inch WUXGA touchscreen, Wi-Fi 6, dual 2W speakers, and a 464 g body. It runs Debian Linux with Sunshine and Moonlight.
That lane matters because Acer already has the more powerful Predator Atlas 8 handheld. Buyers who want a standalone Windows machine still have that option.
The Laptops Bring the Power
Acer did not give pricing. However, it says the handheld is planned for North America and EMEA in Q4 2026.
The laptops are the muscle. Predator Helios 18 AI reaches up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX processor and GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. Acer also lists up to 256 GB of memory and 6 TB of storage.
Meanwhile, Nitro 16 aims lower but still swings hard. It can reach up to an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor and GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU.
That split also keeps expectations clear. Nitro Blaze Link is not trying to beat a full handheld PC. It is trying to make a nearby gaming rig easier to enjoy.
Buyers should watch latency, Wi-Fi stability, and app support. Those details will decide whether the handheld feels effortless or fussy.
The laptop side has a clearer path. Predator Helios 18 AI is for buyers who want everything in one machine. Nitro 16 is the more grounded gaming pick.
