Skypes latest beta feature adds screen sharing to its iOS and Android apps in Version: 8.43.76.38. The screen sharing addition on mobile devices adds to the list of updates the company is pushing which includes group calls for 50 people (up from 25) and background blur in video calls. Users will be allowed to share anything on their phone display to friends, family, or coworkers. Other suggested use of this feature by Microsoft is to PowerPoint presentations, “swipes on dating apps,” or for online shopping with friends. The new feature is currently available to preview for Skype Insiders (beta testers), you can sign up for beta access here. Judging by other Skype beta experiment rollout timeframe, the screen sharing feature could rollout in less than a month.
