When you buy a new laptop, often times most people like to add an artistic perspective to their laptop’s lids. It’s usually colorful stickers or decorative skins but as nice as they look, over time they can get dull and you want to remove them. This usually takes sheer luck to get those stickers off in one piece or end up with bits and pieces still attached. The guys at Jolt Team have come up with a new way to add an artistic approach to your laptop’s lids without the sticky situation. They call it a Brik Case.
The Brik case for Apple’s MacBook uses LEGO-style bricks to customize it however you like. It is compatible with LEGO, Mega Bloks, PixelBlocks, KRE-O, and K’NEX bricks. And to add bricks just simply press them onto the base. You can use any assortment of colors to design your Brik Case (as in the photos in the gallery). There are even pencil holder and business card holder designs waiting for you to test them out.
The Jolt Team is currently raising funds on Kickstarter so that the case can be mass-produced. For $30 you will get the case with a bag of 100 1×1 bricks, and international shipping is supported. Currently the Brik Case only fits accurately onto MacBook Air and Retina MacBook Pro laptop models.
If funded successfully, the Brik case will ship internationally this August.
