ZTE has announced its second next-gen Wi-Fi Hotspot/Pico projector running on Android 4.4 Kikat OS with Google Play Services installed. The ZTE Spro 2 uses its built-in 4G LTE which allows Wi-Fi sharing with up to eight other devices.
The ZTE Spro 2 also has a 5-inch 1280 x 820 pixels HD LCD display, powered by Qualcomm snapdragon 800 SoC with 2GB of RAM, 16GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The DLP-based projector allows the device to project up to 120-inches at 200lunems of brightness and up to 720p.
Connectivity options on the ZTE Spro 2 includes – Dual Band (2.4GHz/5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI and USB 3.0. It measures 134 x 131 x 31 mm; Weighs 550grams, and packs a 6300mAh battery which is said to offer up to 10 hours of usage as Hotspot.
There is no word on pricing yet, but the ZTE Spro 2 should be available across all major US wireless carriers before summer of 2015.
