The official Windows Phone 8 YouTube app is getting a major overhaul today, ending the web redirecting era. The new update lets the app make use of the Windows Phone 8 features, you can listen to a video in the background while the screen is locked, pin videos and other YouTube functions to your Live Tile. As for the right contents for your kids, you can now pin YouTube to Kid’s Corner and limit content based on YouTube Safety Mode settings you want. Windows Phone 7.5 users are not left behind, they should be expecting an update in a few weeks. See the list of new features below the break, or hit the source link to grab the update.
