Sharp finally put out more info on the delivery date and pricing on its 70-inch 8K television for the European market: priced at €11,199, originally scheduled for next month, it’s expected to be delivered before April is done. Other places you can currently get Sharp’s 8K goodness are in Japan and China.
If you care to know its Dollar equivalent, Sharp’s LV-70X500E television translates to about $13,800. If you happen to have that amount to spend on a 7,680 x 4,320 pixels TV set, you’ll be disappointed to know that Sharp currently has no plans to bring it’s 8K TV to the US. With little to no 8K content available for consumers now, I think a 4K TV with good panels will still get the job done in 2018.
